NASA and SpaceX Prepare for Crew-12 Launch to ISS
NASA and SpaceX are set to launch the Crew-12 mission to the International Space Station, with liftoff scheduled for February 13, 2026, at 5:15 a.m. EST from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
NASA and SpaceX are preparing to launch the Crew-12 mission to the International Space Station (ISS). Liftoff is scheduled for February 13, 2026, at 5:15 a.m. EST from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The mission will transport four astronauts: NASA's Jessica Meir (commander) and Jack Hathaway (pilot), European Space Agency astronaut Sophie Adenot, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev.
The Crew-12 mission was advanced following the early return of Crew-11 due to a medical evacuation, leaving the ISS with a reduced crew. The upcoming launch aims to restore the station's full operational capacity.
Recent weather concerns, including elevated winds along the flight path, prompted adjustments to the launch schedule. However, current forecasts indicate an 85% chance of favorable conditions for the planned liftoff.
The Crew-12 astronauts are slated for an eight-month mission aboard the ISS, during which they will conduct various scientific experiments and maintenance tasks.
This mission marks the 12th crew rotation under NASA's Commercial Crew Program and the 13th flight with astronauts for SpaceX, including the Demo-2 test flight.
