Starbucks Workers Urge Customers to Delete App Amid Ongoing Strike
On November 13, 2025, over 1,000 unionized Starbucks employees initiated a strike at 65 stores across the United States on Red Cup Day. The strike was organized to demand progress in stalled contract negotiations, focusing on improved pay and staffing conditions. The union involved is Starbucks Workers United. The strike has continued for nearly three months. In solidarity with the striking baristas, customers have been urged to delete the Starbucks mobile app. Additionally, New York City Mayor-Elect Zohran Mamdani called for a boycott of Starbucks to support the workers' demands for fair contracts.
