Apple выпускает iOS 27 с новым ИИ Siri и улучшениями производительности

Apple announced that iOS 27 will begin rolling out to compatible iPhones on Monday, September 14, with the update expected to appear around 10 a.m. Pacific Time. The new operating system supports iPhone 11 and later, but the AI-driven Siri features are restricted to iPhone 15 Pro models and newer.

The centerpiece of iOS 27 is Siri AI, a conversational assistant that can answer a broader range of queries and access personal data stored on the device. Apple introduced a dedicated Siri app and retained the side-button activation method. The company said Siri AI will launch in English only, with usage limits and a paid tier planned for future expansion.

"When users point their iPhone at a receipt using Siri mode, it can surface the relevant action to split a bill with Apple Cash and identify the items on the receipt," Apple explained.

Additional Apple Intelligence tools include new "Extend" and "Reframe" options in Photos, photorealistic image generation in Image Playground, voice-driven shortcut creation, and automatic video descriptions for HomeKit Secure Video. The update also refines the Liquid Glass visual design, adds a slider for tint adjustment, and claims up to 30% faster app launches, 70% quicker photo loading, and 80% faster AirDrop transfers.

A new iPhone Handoff feature lets users switch between two iPhones sharing the same phone number, initially offered by T-Mobile in the United States for $5 a month, with other carriers slated to follow. iOS 27 also introduces bill-splitting via Apple Cash in the Wallet and Messages apps, enhanced location-sharing controls in Find My, and video playback support for CarPlay when the vehicle is parked.

The update will be released alongside iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27 and visionOS 27, encompassing more than 250 changes across Apple’s platforms.
