An 8-foot statue of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was discovered covered in red spray paint at the group’s headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona. The vandalism also affected a nearby memorial poster that had been painted over.
Turning Point USA said it will restore the statue and replace the damaged signs, and that it is reviewing security footage and cooperating with law enforcement to identify those responsible.
The statue was installed on September 10 to mark the one-year anniversary of Kirk’s death, which occurred after he was shot at a Turning Point USA event in Utah.
