iPhone 18 Pro models available for launch-day delivery, while iPhone 18 Pro Max faces delays

Résumé

Apple opened pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, with most Pro configurations slated for September 18 delivery, but many Pro Max models now expected in October.

Apple began accepting pre-orders for its iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max ahead of the September 18 launch. Shipping estimates released Saturday show that most iPhone 18 Pro configurations are still on track for launch-day delivery, while a number of iPhone 18 Pro Max variants have been pushed to October, particularly the larger model.

All color and storage options, including the 2-terabyte version, remain available for same-day shipment for both phones, meaning customers can still secure their preferred specifications if they act quickly.

The rollout differs from recent years because Apple’s first foldable iPhone, dubbed the iPhone Duo, will not be open for pre-order until October 16, with a release slated for October 23, potentially influencing some buyers’ timing decisions.

"The iPhone 18 Pro Max is far more constrained," a product-availability tracker noted, highlighting the limited launch-day stock for that model.

Pre-orders can be placed through Apple’s website or selected retailers such as Walmart. Apple also lists compatible accessories, including silicone and TechWoven cases, a wrist strap, a 40W power adapter, a USB-C cable with an LED display, and Beats-branded USB-C earbuds.
