Aaron Rodgers' podcast comments about ex Shailene Woodley raise concerns among her friends

Friends of actress Shailene Woodley have voiced concern after quarterback Aaron Rodgers referenced their former relationship during a recent podcast episode. Sources close to Woodley told a media outlet that the actress and Rodgers, who were engaged in early 2021, have not spoken for more than two years, and they questioned why a married man would bring up an ex-partner he has not contacted in that time.

Rodgers, 42, disclosed in June 2025 that he had married a woman identified as Brittani a few months earlier. Woodley, 34, began dating Rodgers in July 2020 and the couple ended their engagement in February 2022, described as amicable. During the podcast, Rodgers suggested Woodley felt pressure to accept the engagement and claimed she later expressed a desire to be with another person. He also said Woodley removed her engagement ring by March 2021.

Rodgers used the platform to respond to previous criticisms from Woodley and former racing driver Danica Patrick, describing their statements as unfounded. He remarked that media coverage of his name generates clicks, likening it to typical television coverage.
