Justine Wilson Criticizes Elon Musk in New Documentary

Résumé

In a documentary shown at the Venice Film Festival, Elon Musk's ex-wife Justine Wilson described their marriage as abusive and accused Musk of gaslighting, while other former partners also made allegations.

Justine Wilson, Elon Musk's former spouse, said the documentary "Musk" portrays their marriage as abusive and claims she learned the term "gaslighting" from her relationship with the Tesla and SpaceX founder. She recounted that Musk told her, "I am the alpha in this relationship," during their wedding ceremony and that he frequently criticized her.

Wilson, who shares six children with Musk, also referenced the death of their daughter Nevada, who died of sudden infant death syndrome at 10 weeks.

The film, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival, includes statements from other former partners. Ashley St. Clair, another ex-partner, said she declined a $40 million nondisclosure agreement to appear in the documentary, emphasizing the importance of speaking out.

Musk responded to St. Clair's comments, stating that she was never offered such an agreement and accusing her of making false claims.

"She was never offered that and has a history of making false claims," Musk said.

The documentary adds to ongoing public scrutiny of Musk's personal relationships.
