Федеральный судья Майами отказал в залоге братьям Тейт, оставив их под стражей, пока Великобритания готовит запрос об их экстрадиции по множеству уголовных обвинений.

A federal magistrate in Miami denied bail to Andrew Tate, 39, and his brother Tristan, 38, on Wednesday, ordering that they remain at the Federal Detention Center while extradition proceedings continue. The brothers, arrested in July, face 59 criminal counts in the United Kingdom, including rape and human-trafficking allegations that they deny.

Magistrate Judge Lauren F. Louis ruled after an eight-hour hearing that the Tates had not shown the "special circumstances" required for bail in international extradition cases, despite their argument that similar charges in Romania should qualify. The brothers contended they are not flight risks, noting their repeated returns to Romania to cooperate with authorities there.

U.S. prosecutors highlighted the brothers' public statements about multiple passports, private jets and other assets, describing them as a danger to the community. The defense characterized those statements as exaggerated performance for their audience and offered to surrender passports, submit to GPS monitoring and allow home inspections if released.

The United Kingdom is slated to file a formal extradition request by September 16. Following that, the Miami court will assess whether the treaty criteria are met and whether probable cause exists. If extradition is certified, the Tates' lawyers can seek judicial review and potentially appeal to higher courts, including the Supreme Court.

"We are, of course, objecting to extradition because Andrew and Tristan are innocent of the charges," said their attorney Joe McBride after an earlier hearing.

Legal experts noted that bail in such cases is rarely granted due to concerns that defendants might flee the jurisdiction.
