Apple schedules iOS 27 release for September 14 with new Siri AI features
Apple will roll out iOS 27 on September 14, introducing an AI-enhanced Siri and a range of interface updates, with additional language support slated for October.
Apple announced that iOS 27 will become available on Monday, September 14. The update includes an AI-powered version of Siri that is initially released as a beta for English-language devices, with French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish support expected in October.
The operating system also adds a new Liquid Glass opacity slider, allowing users to choose between a clearer or more frosted appearance, and refreshes the icons of many built-in apps with subtle color adjustments. Additional changes feature extra-large widgets, a smaller clock option on the lock screen, and separate volume controls for ringtones, alarms, timers, alerts and system sounds.
Apple said the full suite of enhancements will be ready when iOS 27 launches on September 14.
