Apple to unveil new iPhone models, including rumored foldable device, at 10 a.m. PT event

Resumen

Apple is set to hold a product launch at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, where it is expected to introduce updated iPhone 18 Pro models and a first-ever foldable iPhone, dubbed iPhone Duo.

Apple will host a live event today at 10 a.m. Pacific Time to present its latest hardware lineup. The company’s new chief executive, John Ternus, posted a short video that shows a beam of light striking the edge of an iPhone from a hexagonal shape that changes size. Analysts have suggested the visual may reference a variable-aperture system rumored for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, which could allow users to adjust light intake for depth-of-field control.

The iPhone 18 Pro series is also expected to feature a 48-megapixel Fusion camera. While a mechanical aperture could enhance photographic flexibility, the impact may be limited by the small sensor size typical of smartphones.

In addition to the Pro models, Apple is anticipated to reveal its first foldable smartphone, reportedly called the iPhone Duo. The event will be covered from the Steve Jobs Theater.

"I’m excited to share a glimpse of what’s coming," Ternus said in the video caption.
