Juilliard clarifies Julia Stiles never attended the school amid Dancing With the Stars buzz
The Juilliard School confirmed on Instagram that actress Julia Stiles never enrolled there, responding to renewed interest after her appearance on Dancing With the Stars.
After Julia Stiles was paired with professional dancer Ezra Sosa on season 35 of Dancing With the Stars, social media users highlighted her role as a ballerina in the 2001 film Save the Last Dance, where her character aspired to study at The Juilliard School. In response, Juilliard posted on Instagram on Sept. 3 that Stiles never attended the institution, adding that the school was "cheering you on" for her television competition. The school also promoted its upcoming Fall Festival, inviting viewers to watch performances by current Juilliard students.
Stiles and her partner did not comment publicly on the school's statement.
