Affordable Android Phones Offer Viable Alternatives to Google Pixel 11

Summary

Several previous-generation and mid-range Android devices provide comparable performance and features at lower prices than the newly released Pixel 11.

Google's Pixel 11 starts at $899 and includes advanced camera software, the Tensor G6 processor and a seven-year Android update commitment. Because of its premium price, reviewers have highlighted cheaper smartphones that still deliver flagship-like experiences.

Google's 2025 Pixel 10, now often discounted to around $449, retains a 6.3-inch 120 Hz display, a Tensor G5 chip and the same seven-year update policy, though its hardware is a generation older.

Samsung's Galaxy S25, priced at $799, offers a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen at 120 Hz and a triple-camera system with a 50 MP main sensor and optical zoom. The slightly less expensive Galaxy S25 FE, at about $650, adds a larger 6.7-inch display but uses Samsung's Exynos 2400 chip and a reduced telephoto lens.

OnePlus 15R, available for $700, features a Snapdragon Gen 5 chipset, 12 GB of RAM, a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with a 165 Hz refresh rate and a 7,400 mAh battery, but omits a telephoto camera and wireless charging.

The RedMagic 11 Pro, marketed toward gamers, sells for $699 and includes a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a 6.85-inch AMOLED screen at 144 Hz, a 7,500 mAh battery with fast charging and liquid-cooling technology, though its camera setup lacks a telephoto lens.

Motorola's Edge (2026), starting at $600, is lightweight and sports a 6.3-inch 120 Hz display with high brightness, a 5,000 mAh battery and 68 W wired charging, but provides only three years of software support and a less refined camera system compared with the Pixel 11.

These models were selected because they are priced below the Pixel 11’s launch cost and offer at least one flagship-class attribute such as performance, display quality, camera capability or extended software support.
