Jax Taylor alleges verbal abuse by estranged wife in restraining order filing
In a court filing related to a pending restraining order, reality TV personality Jax Taylor claims his estranged wife Brittany Cartwright has made statements intended to provoke a relapse and undermine his reputation.
Reality-TV figure Jax Taylor told a judge that he has remained sober for nearly two years while seeking a restraining order against his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright. Taylor said Cartwright repeatedly made humiliating and threatening remarks, which he believes are intended to destabilize his recovery.
According to the filing, Cartwright allegedly told Taylor he should "move away" and that "your son doesn’t want you," adding that she believes no one wants to work with him and that producers have refused future collaborations. Taylor said he has applied coping strategies learned in rehab to remain unaffected by the comments and emphasized his love for his son and his desire to avoid harming Cartwright.
"I just want the truth to prevail and for her to stop abusing me and let me live my life in peace," Taylor wrote.
The court documents do not provide Cartwright’s response to the allegations.
