Brian Hickerson arrested after incident at West Hollywood bar

Police detained Brian Hickerson at Barney's Beanery, a bar in West Hollywood, after staff attempted to remove him from the premises. Video shows Hickerson lying on his back beneath a table before officers assisted him to his feet and placed him in handcuffs. During the arrest, he spat toward an officer, after which the officer spoke to him before the pair were taken outside and booked. The arrest, which occurred in August 2024, was Hickerson's first of two detentions in Los Angeles that month. He subsequently attended ten Narcotics Anonymous meetings, and the charges were later dismissed. Earlier, in August 2024, Hickerson was present when Panettiere was found unresponsive and attempts were made to revive her with naloxone, but she could not be resuscitated.
