Los Angeles County health records obtained by People magazine list coronary artery disease as the primary cause of Tim Curry's death. The documents also note a history of stroke and kidney cancer as significant contributing conditions, though no surgeries were recorded for any of these ailments. Curry passed away on August 25 at his home in the Toluca Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles at age 80.
"Curry had been in precarious health since suffering a major stroke in 2012," the report noted. The actor, best known for his role as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the 1975 cult film The Rocky Horror Picture Show, was a three-time Tony Award nominee and had a varied career that included television work, stage productions with the Royal Shakespeare Company, and roles in films such as The Shout.
