Summary

NFL tight end Travis Kelce said his July wedding to Taylor Swift at Madison Square Garden was intimate and unforgettable, noting a phone-free ceremony and Adam Sandler’s officiating.

Travis Kelce discussed his July 3 wedding to Taylor Swift during the season premiere of his "New Heights" podcast, describing the ceremony at Madison Square Garden as intimate and "magical." He said the venue was chosen for its privacy and that staff helped create a "very intimate and genuine setting without a lot of distractions."

"I wish it could have lasted even longer than it did. It felt like it just happened in the blink of an eye," Kelke said, adding that the event felt like a night they will never forget.

Kelce highlighted that guests were asked to leave phones at the entrance, which he said encouraged people to be present and interact without the usual digital interruptions.

"It was so cool to see how everybody interacted, and with no phones comes people not having to be on guard. It makes everyone be in the moment and be present," he explained.

Actor Adam Sandler, a longtime friend, officiated the wedding after becoming ordained in New York. Kelce praised Sandler, calling him "the best person on this planet" and saying his involvement added a unique, heartfelt touch to the ceremony.

Kelce’s brother, former NFL player Jason Kelce, also commented on Sandler’s role, noting the blend of humor and sincerity he brought to the officiating.
