DollyFest to honor late singer with festivals in Nashville and London in 2027

Résumé

The Dolly Parton estate announced a two-day DollyFest will be held in Nashville and London in 2027, replacing a traditional public memorial for the late star.

The estate of Dolly Parton said a two-day DollyFest will be staged across two consecutive weekends in Nashville and London in 2027, with exact dates to be confirmed. The festival, which Parton had originally envisioned as a collaborative event where she would perform with other artists, was postponed from an earlier planned launch in January 2026 because of her health issues.

Parton, who died at age 80 on 25 August after a brief battle with cancer, was buried in a private family service in Nashville and interred beside her late husband at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Mausoleum.

Festival organizer Danny Nozell, founder and CEO of CTK Enterprises, said the estate is not discouraging other forms of tribute but noted that Parton preferred a non-traditional memorial. > "It feels more appropriate for us to take a beat, let all the tributes that immediately make sense occur naturally, and then see through this festival-style concept that was truly dreamed up by Dolly," Nozell said.

Nozell added that the event aims to allow fans and artists worldwide to celebrate Parton's legacy while providing time for mourning and planning. Parton, a Tennessee native, was known for hits such as "Coat of Many Colors," "Jolene" and "I Will Always Love You," and described songwriting as her primary form of expression.
