Aaron Donald set to return for Rams' season opener in Australia

Resumen

Defensive tackle Aaron Donald rejoined the Los Angeles Rams on Aug. 30 and is expected to be available for the team's first game on Sept. 10 against the 49ers in Sydney.

Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald reported back to the team on Aug. 30 as the club prepares for its season-opening matchup against the San Francisco 49ers in Sydney on Sept. 10. The primary question is whether he will be cleared to play and how many defensive snaps he will be assigned. Earlier reports suggested a target of 30 to 40 snaps for Donald, based on a gradual ramp-up before the first game. In 2018, Donald returned to practice on Aug. 31 and participated in 62 of the Rams' 70 defensive snaps against the Raiders on Sept. 10. Although he is now eight years older, the 30-40 snap range remains plausible. Donald continues to practice, and the coaching staff will decide whether he will suit up for Week 1 or be held for the following week’s game against the New York Giants.
