An NBC News team and a Palestinian woman were assaulted by masked individuals in Jalud, West Bank, prompting medical treatment for several victims and a statement from Israeli security forces.

A team from NBC News was attacked while interviewing Palestinian resident Aida Ahmed Abdullah in the town of Jalud near Nablus on Saturday. According to the correspondent, a vehicle with Israeli plates reversed toward the group, and four masked men exited, striking the journalists with sticks and throwing rocks. NBC correspondent Matt Bradley said he was hit twice in the arm and received treatment at a nearby clinic; three other crew members and Abdullah, 51, also required medical care, though none of the injuries were life-threatening.

The incident occurred amid a series of confrontations in the area, including reports of masked settlers pepper-spraying Palestinian workers in nearby Qusra. Israeli security forces said they responded to reports of clashes, identified dozens of individuals who had barricaded themselves inside a Palestinian home, and confiscated vehicles believed to have been used by the attackers. The forces said they worked to separate the groups and restore order, with IDF soldiers and Border Police continuing operations in Qusra and Jalud.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the violence, describing it as the actions of a small number of rioters. The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs reported that, up to 24 July, 76 Palestinians and three Israelis had been killed in the West Bank.
