Los Angeles Judge Issues Restraining Order in Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright Divorce
A temporary domestic-violence restraining order was granted against reality-TV star Jax Taylor, requiring him to stay 100 yards from estranged wife Brittany Cartwright, while a custody dispute over their son continues.
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge granted a temporary restraining order on Thursday that bars Jax Taylor from approaching his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, within 100 yards. The order follows Cartwright's filing that alleges Taylor threatened her life and engaged in physical aggression during their marriage.
Cartwright also sought sole custody of their five-year-old son, Cruz, but the judge declined to award it at this stage. Court documents detail accusations that Taylor damaged personal property, accessed Cartwright’s phone and social-media accounts without permission, and removed a $70,000 wedding ring from their home.
The filing further claims Taylor used financial pressure and abusive language toward Cartwright, and that he posted private messages about their son on a parental-communication platform.
Both parties, known from reality-TV series, are currently involved in ongoing divorce and custody proceedings.
