Eagles training camp practice features injuries and two interceptions by Riq Woolen

Summary

Philadelphia Eagles held their sole public training-camp session, reporting several injuries and quarterback Jalen Hurts throwing two interceptions to rookie cornerback Riq Woolen.

Philadelphia held its sixteenth training-camp practice at Lincoln Financial Field, the only public session of the summer for the 2026 season. The Eagles listed multiple in-practice injuries, including offensive tackle Lane Johnson, defensive tackle Jordan Davis and tight end E.J. Jenkins, all of whom received treatment and returned to drills. Several players were absent or limited, such as guard Landon Dickerson, tight end Eli Stowers (hamstring) and defensive back Jonathan Jones (shoulder).

Quarterback Jalen Hurts showed both positive and negative moments. He completed passes to receivers Dontayvion Wicks, Darius Cooper, Saquon Barkley, DeVonta Smith, Makai Lemon and Hollywood Brown, and threw two touchdown passes. However, Hurts also threw two interceptions to rookie cornerback Riq Woolen, the second occurring on a pass intended for DeVonta Smith. The interceptions marked an increase in Hurts’ turnover rate compared with previous camps.

Defensive highlights included a sack by Nolan Smith on Lane Johnson and a strip-sack by Jalyx Hunt on Fred Johnson. Backup quarterbacks Andy Dalton and Tanner McKee each recorded completions, with McKee connecting with Brown and Cooper on scoring drives. The practice drew an announced crowd of more than 45,000 fans, though observers noted the figure may have been rounded up. The team also wore bright-green jerseys to support the Eagles Autism Foundation, with the shirts slated for charity auction.
