Eagles hold light 15th camp practice as several players return from injury

Summary

Philadelphia Eagles completed a 70-minute, no-pads practice at the Jefferson Health Training Complex, seeing the return of DeVonta Smith and Makai Lemon while dealing with new injuries to Eli Stowers and others.

Philadelphia held its fifteenth training-camp session for the 2026 NFL season on a shortened 70-minute, no-pads schedule at the Jefferson Health Training Complex. The practice featured the return of wide receiver DeVonta Smith and tight end Makai Lemon, who were cleared to practice after being removed from the injury report earlier in the week.

The Eagles added rookie tight end Eli Stowers to the injury report with a hamstring issue, and both Markel Bell (thumb/leg) and linebacker Willie Lampkin (stinger) missed the session. Cole Wisniewski entered concussion protocol after missing most of the offseason with hamstring problems, while Dameon Pierce (hamstring) and Byron Young (shoulder) participated in a limited capacity.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts showed mixed results, completing short-to-medium passes to Dallas Goedert, Elijah Moore and Darius Cooper, but also experiencing several incompletions, a batted-down pass and an overthrown deep throw. Hurts’ average time to release appeared longer than in recent summer workouts.

Makai Lemon worked with the starting offense for the first day back, seeing a mix of incomplete and screen passes, and participated in pre-snap motion. Wide receiver Elijah Moore, returning after missing the previous practice, recorded multiple catches and contributed to a jet-sweep gain.

Backup quarterback competition remained unchanged, with Tanner McKee delivering short completions and Andy Dalton connecting with Moore on a sideline route.

Defensive players Jalyx Hunt and Moro Ojomo generated pressure on Hurts, recording sacks and tackles for loss during the session.

The Eagles also released veteran safety J.T. Gray and waived/injured Ja’Quinden Jackson following recent game incidents.
