ESPN raises prices for Select and Unlimited plans and related Disney+ and Hulu bundles

Resumen

Effective September 17, ESPN will increase monthly and annual fees for its Select and Unlimited streaming tiers, and several Disney+ and Hulu bundles will see matching price hikes.

ESPN announced that its Select and Unlimited streaming plans will see price increases beginning September 17. The Select tier will rise to $14 per month, or $140 per year, up from $13 and $130 respectively. The Unlimited tier will climb to $32 per month, or $320 annually, from $30 and $300.

Associated Disney+ and Hulu bundles that include ESPN Select will also become more expensive. The ad-supported bundle of Disney+, Hulu and ESPN Select will cost $22 per month, up from $20, while the ad-free version will rise to $33 from $30. The legacy ad-free Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN Select bundle, which is no longer available to new subscribers, will increase from $25 to $28 per month.

"This is the first round of price increases for these services since ESPN revamped its streaming strategy last year," the report noted.

The changes do not affect ESPN Unlimited bundles, which remain at current pricing.
