Leaker Cyberleek shares alleged GTA 6 gameplay as Take-Two subpoenas Microsoft and Discord
An anonymous source known as Cyberleek has posted several unverified gameplay clips of the unreleased Grand Theft Auto VI, prompting Take-Two Interactive to subpoena Microsoft and Discord in an effort to identify the leaker.
An anonymous individual using the name Cyberleek has been uploading short video clips that purportedly show gameplay from the unreleased Grand Theft Auto VI. The uploads, which include map fragments, vehicle sequences and in-game actions such as a basketball mini-game and a plane fly-over of a Vice City-style setting, have appeared on platforms like X and Reddit.
Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, filed subpoenas on Aug. 20 seeking information from Microsoft and Discord to identify the source of the material. The legal documents referenced "stolen content," which the company presented as evidence that at least some of the videos are derived from an actual build of the game.
While the clips provide the first public glimpse of GTA VI’s environment and mechanics, the authenticity of the material cannot be confirmed. The article notes that AI-generated videos posing as leaks are also circulating widely on social media.
Cyberleek has avoided major plot spoilers and continues to solicit audience input, offering cryptocurrency-based polls that let users vote on what should be leaked next. Official gameplay footage is scheduled to debut on Netflix on Aug. 27.
Rockstar and Take-Two have not issued statements beyond the subpoenas. Mashable has reached out for comment and will update the story if a response is received.
