Eagles running back Ja’Quinden Jackson released from hospital after ambulance transport
Ja’Quinden Jackson, 24, was taken to the hospital after collapsing during a preseason game but was released after a negative CT scan and confirmed to be awake and alert.
Philadelphia Eagles running back Ja’Quinden Jackson was taken to a hospital following a preseason game on Saturday night after he became motionless on the field. Medical staff reported that he retained movement and strength in all extremities and a CT scan showed no injuries. The 24-year-old was released from the hospital later that day and returned to Philadelphia with the team.
Jackson’s agent Damien Butler said the player was “awake and alert” and thanked the Eagles’ medical personnel and first responders for their care. Quarterback Tanner McKee said teammates were relieved to learn Jackson was responsive and moving.
Jackson, an Arkansas native who signed with the Eagles on Aug. 10 after a season on the Jacksonville Jaguars’ practice squad, had been involved in a tackle on the opening kickoff that preceded the incident.
