Possible design of Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra leaks ahead of 2027 launch

Summary

A leak suggests the upcoming Galaxy S27 Ultra will feature a horizontal rectangular camera bar and a built-in magnetic ring for Qi2 wireless charging, with a triple-camera system that may include a 200MP main sensor.

Samsung is expected to unveil four models in its Galaxy S27 series in early 2027, following the Galaxy S26 FE announcement in August 2023. A tipster identified as Ice Universe posted an image that appears to show the design of the top-end Galaxy S27 Ultra. The rendering shows a thick rectangular bar across the top rear of the device, housing three camera modules. Two of the lenses are surrounded by individual rings, while a third lens is integrated into a pill-shaped module that also contains a laser autofocus system and an LED flash.

The illustration also indicates a circular magnetic ring positioned for Qi2 wireless charging and compatible accessories, suggesting Samsung may incorporate built-in magnets rather than relying on magnetic cases.

Industry rumors have long suggested the S27 Ultra will use a triple-camera array, potentially comprising a 200-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization, a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens with autofocus, and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens offering 5× optical zoom and stabilization.

"The layout resembles the iPhone 17 Pro," a commentator noted, indicating that the design could invite comparisons with rival devices.
