Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra Expected to Feature 200MP Sensor and Enhanced Image Processing
Leaked specifications suggest the upcoming Galaxy S27 Ultra will use a 200-megapixel primary sensor, improved highlight control and lower noise in low-light shots, while retaining a 50MP telephoto lens with 5× optical zoom.
Leaks indicate Samsung’s forthcoming Galaxy S27 Ultra will be equipped with a 1/1.3-inch 200MP ISOCELL HP6 sensor, a modified version of the ISOCELL HPC unit used in earlier models. The device is also expected to carry a 50MP telephoto camera with 5× optical zoom and an f/2.9 aperture, as well as a 50MP ultrawide lens, all arranged in a rectangular camera bar.
According to the information, the new sensor and an updated image-processing pipeline should produce warmer colour tones compared with the previous S26 Ultra. The camera system is reported to provide tighter control over highlights, reducing blown-out areas in both the main and telephoto lenses. Improvements in noise reduction are also anticipated, delivering cleaner, smoother images in darker regions and low-light environments.
While the enhancements address highlight and noise concerns, it remains uncertain whether Samsung has resolved the motion-blur problem that has affected moving subjects in prior devices. Observers hope the refinements will extend across the entire S27 lineup, including the standard, Plus and Pro variants.
