Trump backs Darline Graham at Myrtle Beach rally, comments on protester
President Donald Trump campaigned for Senate candidate Darline Graham in South Carolina, urging voter turnout and responding to a protester who interrupted his speech.
President Donald Trump addressed a crowd at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center on Friday night, where he promoted Republican Senate candidate Darline Graham ahead of the upcoming runoff election. After a protester briefly disrupted the event, Trump paused his remarks and said, "> That's all right. That person's going home to mom. Gonna get scolded because mom is voting for us," before resuming his speech.
Trump emphasized the importance of Republican turnout, noting that his name would not appear on the ballot but asking supporters to "pretend" he were listed and to vote. He praised Graham, saying she would defend "common sense" in Washington, support lower taxes, higher paychecks, stricter immigration policies, and protect the Second Amendment. He also highlighted her commitment to the military.
Graham later joined Trump onstage, thanking him for his endorsement and acknowledging his friendship with her late brother, former Senator Lindsey Graham. The White House did not immediately comment on the incident.
