Philadelphia police seek 22-year-old man who chased jogger wearing horror-movie mask
Police have issued a warrant for Zymire Hughes, 22, after he allegedly chased a female jogger near City Hall while wearing a mask resembling the character Chucky and making threatening remarks.
Philadelphia police said a 22-year-old man identified as Zymire Hughes is wanted after an incident in which he pursued a 40-year-old woman jogging near City Hall early Wednesday morning. The suspect, described as wearing a Halloween-style mask modeled after the film character Chucky and carrying a blue plaid backpack, allegedly held a phone and repeatedly asked the woman, “Are you ready to die?” while she ran away. He was last seen entering the SEPTA Suburban Station train. Authorities have released video and images of the masked individual and issued an arrest warrant, noting that Hughes may have left Pennsylvania and has connections to California and Nevada. The investigation remains ongoing.
