Samsung schedules August 27 virtual event to unveil new Galaxy S26 model
Samsung will host a virtual Galaxy Event on August 27 to introduce the latest addition to its Galaxy S26 lineup, likely a budget-friendly S26 FE, and may also reveal new tablets and earbuds.
Samsung announced that it will hold a virtual-only "Galaxy Event August 2026" on August 27 at 8 a.m. Eastern/5 a.m. Pacific time, with the livestream available on YouTube. The company said the event will introduce the newest member of the Galaxy S26 family, emphasizing enhancements across camera, AI features and the latest One UI.
Industry observers expect the unveiling to focus on a budget-oriented Galaxy S26 FE, which is anticipated to retain a design similar to the previous S25 FE while incorporating a refreshed camera module and a light-green color option shown in a promotional image that Samsung noted was partially AI-generated. Leaked specifications suggest only minor updates from the prior model.
Analysts also speculate that Samsung could use the same broadcast to launch the Galaxy Tab S12 and possibly new Galaxy Buds, though no official details have been confirmed.
