FX Orders Meta-Thriller Reunion Series Featuring Sons of Anarchy Cast
FX announced a limited series titled "Legends" that will reunite the main cast of Sons of Anarchy in a meta-thriller setting, with no premiere date yet.
FX and Hulu have commissioned a limited series called "Legends," described as a meta-thriller that brings together the original Sons of Anarchy cast at a fan convention. The premise follows the actors playing themselves as the fictional brotherhood confronts a real-world danger. Charlie Hunnam, who portrayed Jax Teller, will serve as writer, performer and executive producer, and will appear alongside Ron Perlman, Katey Sagal, Maggie Siff, Mark Boone Junior, Tommy Flanagan, Kim Coates and Theo Rossi, all playing themselves. Additional cast members are pending announcement.
FX Entertainment President Nick Grad said, "When Charlie brought us this inspired idea, we instantly sparked to his bold and entertaining vision. Charlie's talents are on full display as a writer, performer, and executive producer, leading the real-life brotherhood on an adventure that is both a love letter to the series and a fun meta twist on what fans think they know."
The original series aired on FX from 2008 to 2014, and its spin-off Mayans M.C. ran from 2018 to 2023. No premiere schedule for "Legends" has been released.
