Apple rolls out multiple security updates for iOS, iPadOS, visionOS and macOS
Apple released new versions of iOS, iPadOS, visionOS and macOS that include security patches, with some fixes previously available in beta releases.
Apple issued a series of software updates on Tuesday, delivering security fixes across its mobile and desktop platforms. The company launched iOS 26.6.1, iPadOS 26.6.1, visionOS 26.6.1 and macOS 26.6.2, each carrying patches that address vulnerabilities identified in recent beta versions. In addition, iOS 18.7.10 and iPadOS 18.7.10 were released with similar security improvements.
According to an Apple support document, the iOS and iPadOS updates incorporate fixes first made available in the iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 beta builds, while macOS 26.6.2 includes patches from the macOS Golden Gate 27 beta. Details on the visionOS 26.6.1 security fixes are expected to be published later.
"The new build numbers for iOS 26.6.1, iPadOS 26.6.1 and macOS 26.6.2 differ from the Release Candidate versions seeded last week," Apple noted in its release notes.
