Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio posted a tribute to former “The Challenge” teammate Tyler Duckworth after the 44-year-old was found dead in his North Dakota apartment.

Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio shared a tribute to former "The Challenge" co-star Tyler Duckworth on Instagram, posting a video that included a clip of Duckworth expressing affection and a performance of Zach Bryan’s song "Pink Skies" accompanied by a guitar montage of the two over two decades. Devenanzio wrote, "You were more than a friend. More than a roommate. You were the brother I never had. Rest easy, Tyler. You'll always be family. Psalm 147:3," referencing the biblical verse about healing the brokenhearted.

Fellow competitor Kendal Darnell responded, "He spoke so highly of you. I'm sure he told you. But he also told others."

Duckworth and Devenanzio first appeared together on "The Real World: Key West" in 2006 and later won "The Challenge: Rivals" in 2011. Police in Grand Forks, North Dakota, said Duckworth was found unresponsive in an overflowing bathtub on August 11 after neighbors reported water leakage. Officers did not observe signs of foul play, and the cause of death awaits autopsy and toxicology results.

Duckworth’s mother, Joni, told People that her son had taught world history and traveled extensively, expressing gratitude to his friends and fans.
