Scottie Scheffler Wins FedEx St. Jude Championship, Earns $3.6 Million

Resumen

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler captured the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis with a eight-stroke victory, securing a $3.6 million prize and advancing to the next FedExCup playoff event.

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler secured his second PGA Tour win of the season at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, finishing the tournament at TPC Southwind in Memphis with a final-round 66. His total score gave him an eight-stroke margin over the nearest competitors, earning him a $3.6 million prize.

The victory marks Scheffler's first win since The American Express tournament in January and brings his career total to 21 PGA Tour titles. It also positions him among a small group of golfers who have recorded multiple wins by eight or more strokes in the past four decades.

The event featured the top 70 players in the FedExCup standings, though only 68 completed the tournament after Daniel Berger withdrew and Robert MacIntyre pulled out after the first round. The top 50 finishers will move on to the BMW Championship next week.

"We’re thrilled to start the playoffs with a strong performance," said a PGA Tour spokesperson.

Scheffler entered the week with five runner-up finishes and 11 top-10 results for the season, and his win improves his standing heading into the remainder of the FedExCup playoffs.
