Sid Wilson Updates Instagram Bio to Reflect End of Slipknot Tenure
Sid Wilson changed his Instagram biography to show a 1997-2026 timeline, indicating his departure from Slipknot after nearly three decades with the band.
Sid Wilson altered the date range in his Instagram profile from "1997-present" to "1997-2026," signaling the conclusion of his affiliation with Slipknot. The change follows the band's recent announcement that it had ended its relationship with the longtime DJ. Slipknot initially posted a statement about Wilson's departure on Friday, later removing it and reposting the notice on its music festival Instagram account. Wilson has not provided a public comment on the split, and the band has not detailed the reasons behind the decision.
"We wish Sid the best in his future endeavors," a Slipknot spokesperson said in a brief statement.
The biography update marks the end of Wilson's nearly 30-year involvement with the masked metal group.
