The defending champions clinched a playoff berth and are set to enter the postseason as the third seed, while league standings and player statistics were updated.
The Las Vegas Aces locked in a spot in the 2026 WNBA playoffs and will enter the postseason as the No. 3 seed. The league’s current standings show the Minnesota Lynx leading at 28-7, followed by the Golden State Valkyries (24-9) and the Aces (24-11). Other teams in the mix include the Atlanta Dream and Indiana Fever, both at 21-12, and the New York Liberty, which finished the regular season 21-14 after winning the Commissioner's Cup.
Aces forward A'ja Wilson is leading the league in scoring (25.9 points per game) and blocks (2.1 per game) and ranks third in rebounding (9.7 per game). She is also shooting 41.6 % from three-point range. Teammates Chelsea Gray and Jackie Young continue to contribute, averaging 7.0 assists per game and 18.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 6.6 assists respectively.
The team rebounded from a mid-season 14-14 record by winning 16 straight games to close the regular season, during which Wilson posted a double-double average of 26.1 points and 12.0 rebounds and shot 59.3 % from beyond the arc. In the previous year’s finals, Wilson scored a combined 65 points and grabbed 23 rebounds in the Aces’ last two victories.
The Aces will face heightened competition as the Minnesota Lynx return Napheesa Collier, rookie Olivia Miles is a leading candidate for Rookie of the Year, and the Indiana Fever have improved with Caitlin Clark healthy for the full season. The Golden State Valkyries, an expansion team that made the playoffs in 2025, are also expected to challenge the defending champions.
