Titans coach says 49ers rookie De'Zhaun Stribling shows promise
Tennessee Titans head coach Robert Saleh praised rookie wide receiver De'Zhaun Stribling after the preseason game, noting his size and contested catches.
Tennessee Titans head coach Robert Saleh said rookie wide receiver De'Zhaun Stribling impressed him during the preseason matchup in which the Titans beat the San Francisco 49ers 19-13 at Levi's Stadium. > "That Stribling kid is going to be pretty good. He’s a big, strong receiver," Saleh told reporters. The 23-year-old Ole Miss alumnus recorded seven catches for 63 yards, including several contested receptions, in his first preseason appearance. Saleh added that the quarterback gave Stribling opportunities and that the team will continue to work on the position without panic, emphasizing a sense of urgency in practice. Stribling was selected in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft, after five wide receivers were taken earlier. Coach Kyle Shanahan of the 49ers is known for requiring rookies to earn playing time, a standard Stribling will need to meet as he seeks a role in the regular season.
