MTV reality star Tyler Duckworth found dead at 44 in North Dakota
Tyler Duckworth, known for his appearances on MTV's The Challenge and The Real World, was discovered dead in his North Dakota apartment, with authorities reporting no foul play.
Tyler Duckworth, a former contestant on six seasons of MTV's The Challenge and a former cast member of The Real World: Key West, was found dead in his North Dakota apartment earlier this week. His mother, Joni Duckworth, announced his death on Facebook, noting that the cause has not yet been determined.
Grand Forks police said neighbors reported water leaking from the ceiling, leading officers to discover Duckworth's body in his bathroom. He had been seen alive the day before, and investigators found no evidence of foul play.
"The Challenge community is gutted to hear of Tyler Duckworth’s remarkably untimely passing," showrunner Justin Booth said in a statement to Variety. "The young man who first came into our universe as a comical and sensitive personality developed into a force who would become a two-time champion, and he will be sorely missed. We are devastated, and we send our most heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace, young man."
