Apple to unveil at least five new devices at September event, including iPhone 18 Pro lineup and foldable model

Apple is set to introduce at least five new products at its September iPhone-focused event, according to multiple reports. The lineup is expected to include the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, which will retain the design of the previous generation but add a smaller Dynamic Island, a variable-aperture wide camera, and a faster A20 Pro chip built on a 2 nm process. Both models may see battery life improvements from the new chip, an upgraded LTPO+ OLED display, and a more efficient C2 modem and N2 networking chip, with new color options such as Dark Cherry and light blue. Prices could rise by up to $300 compared with the iPhone 17 Pro series.

A foldable iPhone, dubbed “iPhone Ultra,” is also rumored to be near launch. It would feature a 5.5-inch display when closed and a 7.8-inch display when opened, using a 4:3 aspect ratio similar to an iPad mini. The device is said to employ the same 2 nm A20 chip, dual batteries, a two-lens rear camera system, and Touch ID in place of Face ID, with an estimated price between $2,000 and $2,500. Production challenges could delay its debut beyond the September event.

Apple Watch Series 12 is expected to receive a faster S-series processor, health-feature enhancements, and a larger battery, while the Apple Watch Ultra 4 may see a thinner design and upgraded sensing functions, according to DigiTimes. The company may also refresh the HomePod mini, full-size HomePod, and Apple TV 4K with faster chips and new networking hardware, and is reportedly developing a 7-inch square home hub with full Siri AI integration, slated for release in 2026 or early 2027.

Tim Cook will step down as CEO on September 1, becoming executive chairman, with John Ternus taking over the role and leading the September event. The presentation is likely to occur on Tuesday, September 8, or Wednesday, September 9, with pre-orders expected shortly thereafter.
