Police Sergeants Testify in Lindsay Clancy Murder Trial

摘要

State police sergeants provided evidence from the victim's laptop and cellphone as the trial of Lindsay Clancy continued on Thursday.

State police sergeants took the stand Thursday, presenting data extracted from the Clancy family's laptop and the victim's cellphone. Prosecutors allege that Lindsay Clancy, 36, killed her three children—Cora, 5; Dawson, 3; and Callan, 8 months—on Jan. 24, 2023, after sending her husband, Patrick, out on errands, and then fell from a second-story window, resulting in paralysis from the waist down. The defense argues that Clancy was suffering from bipolar disorder and postpartum psychosis, contending that she should not be held criminally responsible.

"The evidence shows a clear pattern of behavior that aligns with the prosecution's timeline," a prosecutor said. "Our client was experiencing severe mental health crises that impair her capacity to understand her actions," a defense attorney stated.
