Google launches Pixel 11 with 2nm Tensor chip and Amazon pre-order discount

Résumé

Google's new Pixel 11, featuring a 2nm Tensor G6 processor and upgraded camera, is available for pre-order at $899 on Amazon, including a $100 gift card.

Google unveiled its latest flagship, the Pixel 11, at the Made by Google event and will begin shipping on August 20. The device is powered by the Tensor G6, the first Google-designed processor built on a 2nm manufacturing process, which Google says delivers up to 20% better power efficiency than its predecessor. Combined with Adaptive Battery, the phone can provide more than 30 hours of use depending on workload.

The Pixel 11 ships with 256GB of storage as the base configuration and a 512GB option, alongside 12GB of RAM. It features a slimmer rear camera bar that houses a 48-megapixel main sensor and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and it is offered in Frost, Pistachio, Hibiscus and Obsidian colors. Security updates are promised for seven years.

Amazon is offering the phone for $899, a $100 reduction from the listed $999 price, and includes a $100 Amazon gift card with each pre-order, effectively providing an additional discount. Pre-orders opened on August 12, with delivery expected about a week after ordering. The package does not include a charger, so users will need a compatible USB-C charger separately.

"The Tensor G6’s 2nm process enables smaller transistors, which improves efficiency and speeds up AI tasks without increasing heat or requiring a larger battery," Google explained.

"Real-time translation and other AI functions can run smoothly on the Pixel 11," the company added.
