Investors sue Selena Gomez and mother over alleged misrepresentations in mental-health venture

Two firms claim they invested more than $1 million in Wondermind Global based on statements from Selena Gomez and her mother, but say the company collapsed and the founders failed to disclose problems.

Two limited liability companies, Wondermind SRS 44 LLC and Bespoke Wondermind LLC, have filed a lawsuit alleging that they were misled into investing over $1 million in Wondermind Global, a mental-health business associated with singer Selena Gomez and her mother Mandy Teefey. The complaint asserts that the plaintiffs relied on public appearances by Gomez and representations from Teefey and former partner Daniella Pierson regarding the company’s infrastructure, leadership and financial prospects.

According to the filing, the investors contend that after providing the capital, the founders did not fulfill the promised operational roles and that the company’s internal problems were not disclosed. The suit references a September 2025 article in The Cut that described Wondermind as being in “a state of utter disarray,” noting issues such as delayed payments to vendors and employees.

"It's unfortunate that a few disgruntled employees with an ax to grind can spread lies about me and distort the truth. Even more disappointing that the media is willing to amplify their lies," said Mandy Teefey in response to the allegations.

The plaintiffs allege that Teefey and Gomez failed to inform investors of the company’s difficulties and that Pierson also made inaccurate claims about her prior business successes and expected returns. The lawsuit seeks damages for the alleged fraud and misrepresentation.
