Powerball jackpot climbs to $1 billion for Wednesday draw

Resumen

The Powerball jackpot reached an estimated $1 billion after Monday’s drawing produced no winner, with the next drawing set for Wednesday.

The Powerball jackpot rose to an estimated $1 billion for the Wednesday drawing after no ticket matched all six numbers in Monday’s draw, which produced the numbers 6, 37, 54, 55, 64 and Powerball 10. The cash option for the prize is $433.1 million, making it the eighth-largest jackpot in Powerball history and the largest prize offered in 2026.

The previous jackpot was won on May 2, 2026, when two tickets in Florida and Texas split a $20 million prize. The odds of winning the jackpot remain 1 in 292.2 million for both U.S. and U.K. players, lottery officials said.

Powerball tickets cost $2 and are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Players select five numbers from 1 to 69 and one Powerball number from 1 to 26. Drawings are held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

If the Wednesday jackpot is not claimed, the prize will continue to increase, potentially joining the list of the largest lottery jackpots in U.S. history.
