Travis Kelce Says Wedding to Taylor Swift Was "Best Night of My Life" at Chiefs Press Conference
At a Kansas City Chiefs training camp press conference, Travis Kelce described his July 3 wedding to Taylor Swift at Madison Square Garden as the best night of his life and thanked guests and venue staff.
Kansas City, Mo. – Travis Kelce spoke to reporters on Aug. 12 at the Chiefs' training camp, reflecting on his July 3 wedding to Taylor Swift held at Madison Square Garden. The NFL tight end said the ceremony was "the best night of my life" and expressed gratitude to the family, friends and staff who helped make the event possible.
Kelce noted that the couple and their guests, estimated at about 1,100, enjoyed a "fun offseason" celebration. He highlighted the venue’s significance, recalling his childhood dream of playing at the iconic arena and mentioning that he missed attending a Knicks playoff game because of training camp commitments.
According to sources, the wedding featured a "secret garden" theme, electronic invitations and non-disclosure agreements for attendees, and both the bride and groom wrote their own vows. Kelce also thanked the venue staff for accommodating the request for privacy, adding that the air conditioning was a notable comfort.
Looking ahead, the 36-year-old athlete said he is focused on the upcoming NFL season, noting that while the night was full of celebration, "football, baby" remains his priority.
"It was the best night of my life, and I appreciate everybody who came out and celebrated with us," Kelce said. "It was perfect... and the AC was cooking; that was the best part," he added.
