Travis Kelce Reflects on July Wedding to Taylor Swift at Press Conference
NFL tight end Travis Kelce described his July 3 wedding at Madison Square Garden as a memorable celebration and said he is now focused on the upcoming football season.
NFL tight end Travis Kelce spoke about his recent wedding to singer Taylor Swift during a press conference at Kansas City Chiefs training camp. He said the ceremony at Madison Square Garden was "the best night of my life" and thanked the guests who attended. Kelce added that the event was a "crazy night" filled with celebration, but emphasized that his focus has now shifted back to football.
"It was a fun offseason, man," Kelce said, noting that the wedding was a highlight before the start of the season.
He recalled choosing Madison Square Garden because it fulfilled a childhood aspiration to play in the iconic venue, and thanked the arena owners for accommodating a private event. Kelce also mentioned the venue’s temperature, joking that the air conditioning was "cooking."
The wedding, held on July 3, featured a forest-themed décor with dark green and pink accents, and was attended by roughly 1,000 guests, including several entertainment and sports figures. Actor Adam Sandler officiated, and Paul McCartney performed a song for the couple. Swift walked down the aisle to her 2008 hit "Love Story," and both families participated in the ceremony as best man and man of honor.
Kelce will play his first game of the season against the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday, marking his 14th NFL season.
