Three dead, including child, found at Hopkins home daycare
Police say two adults and a young child were found dead at Brown Bear Daycare in Hopkins, Minnesota, and are investigating the incident as potentially isolated.
Police in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area discovered the bodies of two adults and a child at Brown Bear Daycare, a home-based childcare facility in Hopkins, about 15 miles southwest of Minneapolis, on Wednesday. Hopkins Police Department Chief Brent Johnston said the victims appear to be related and that all seven children present at the center that day were under five years old. Authorities believe one of the adults, a man found at the scene, was responsible for the other two deaths, though the exact cause of death remains under investigation. The police were alerted when a parent arrived to drop off a child and found the bodies. > "This was one of those ones you’ll remember throughout your entire career, if not life," Chief Johnston told reporters. Hopkins Mayor Patrick Hanlon expressed the community’s shock and thanked first responders for their work. The investigation is ongoing.
