Apple Plans 2027 Launch for AI-Powered Tabletop Robot
Apple is developing a tabletop robot with a movable display and enhanced Siri capabilities, aiming for a 2027 release.
Apple is advancing its artificial intelligence initiatives with the development of a tabletop robot designed to serve as a virtual companion. The device features a 7-inch iPad-like display mounted on a movable arm capable of rotating and extending approximately six inches in any direction, allowing it to reposition itself to face users as they move within a room.
The robot is expected to integrate a significantly enhanced version of Siri, enabling it to recall information, make suggestions, and participate in conversations. Apple is targeting a 2027 release for this product.
In addition to the tabletop robot, Apple is reportedly developing a smart home hub without a robotic arm, slated for a 2026 release. This hub would control music playback, take notes, browse the web, and host videoconferencing. Both devices are expected to run on a new operating system called Charismatic, designed to support multiple users.
These developments are part of Apple's broader strategy to enhance its presence in the AI and smart home markets, aiming to offer more interactive and personalized user experiences.
