White House attributes President Trump's fuller hair to routine, not new treatments

Resumen

Officials say the president's noticeably thicker hair at a Las Vegas event reflects his usual grooming, not a recent change in medication or styling.

President Donald Trump appeared at a Red Rock Casino event in Las Vegas on Wednesday with hair that looked brighter and more voluminous than his typical style. White House officials responded to online speculation by stating that the change does not stem from a new grooming product or medication.

Trump has previously disclosed using finasteride, a drug for male-pattern hair loss, as reported by his former personal physician in 2017 and confirmed by a White House physician in 2018. Recent health memos have not mentioned the medication, leaving its current use uncertain.

The president has long discussed his hair routine, describing it as a “work of art” and noting he washes it with a standard shampoo before air-drying while watching television. He has also criticized photographic angles that he believes diminish his hair’s appearance.

"If you turn on the shower – if you’re like me, you can’t wash your beautiful hair properly," he said in 2020, referencing water-efficiency standards.

According to the White House, no alteration to Trump’s established grooming practices explains the temporary increase in hair volume observed at the event.
