Raiders quarterback and pass rusher clash during practice session

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins and defensive end Maxx Crosby got into a brief scuffle late in Friday's practice in Henderson, Nevada, before teammates stepped in to separate them. Cousins stayed on the field to finish the drive, while Crosby was escorted to the sideline.

Coach Klint Kubiak said the incident involved two team leaders and noted that while physical confrontations are not tolerated in games, some on-field disputes can occur during camp. He added that any fighting in a game would result in a player being removed.

According to tight end Michael Mayer, Cousins reacted after Crosby tipped a pass, leading to an incomplete throw, and then charged the larger defensive end. Mayer said the team does not want punches thrown but expects players to defend themselves and maintain an edge during practice.
