Karol G and Bruno Mars Release English-Language Duet "Still" on New Album

Résumé

Colombian singer Karol G sings entirely in English on the duet "Still" with Bruno Mars, featured as the sixth track on her album No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto released Aug. 7.

Colombian star Karol G and American singer Bruno Mars have released a duet titled "Still," which appears as the sixth track on G's new album No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto, launched on August 7. The song is a pop-R&B ballad in which both artists share verses and blend their vocals as the track builds.

According to a Rolling Stone interview, G said she was open to recording in languages other than Spanish when the right opportunity arose, adding that the collaboration developed naturally rather than through a pre-planned English-language project. She described the song as finding her and expressed enthusiasm about working with Mars.

"Still" explores the theme of maintaining affection after a relationship ends, using memories and personal keepsakes as lyrical motifs. The visualizer for the track was released simultaneously with the album.

The release follows Mars' recent solo album The Romantic and adds to G's list of high-profile collaborations on the record, which also features Drake, Judeline, Rusowsky, and Greg Gonzalez of Cigarettes After Sex.
